Description: The 1960s: Liverpool dock worker Jude travels to America to find his estranged father. He falls in love with sheltered American teenager Lucy. Their love story is set amid the turbulent years of anti-war protest, the struggle for free speech and civil rights, mind exploration, the discovery of psychedelic drugs and rock´n roll. At once gritty, whimsical and highly theatrical, the story moves from high schools and universities in Massachusetts, Princeton and Ohio to the Lower East Side of Manhattan, the Detroit riots, Vietnam and the dockyards of Liverpool. This is all presented in the shape of a lavishly produced and visually excessive musical, with over 30 newly interpreted Beatles songs interwoven with the storyline.
